Costume Designer Bina Daigeler and Make-Up Artist Morag Ross will discuss their work for the highly anticipated TÁR, which has already won Cate Blanchett the Best Leading Performance award from Los Angeles Film Critics Association and Todd Field the Best Director, in addition to several nominations.

Fashion Designer Paul Smith will be with us to introduce Godard’s classic Breathless and tell us about how influential this film was for him in his early youth in Nottingham.

Costume Designer Jenny Beavan will be joined by Keith Lodwick and Oriole Cullen to tell us about her work creating the costumes for Anthony Fabian’s film Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.

Style as rebellion. Considered the starting point of African cinema, Ousmane Sembène’s film BLACK GIRL will be followed by an on-stage conversation with Christine Checinska and Elisabeth Murray, Lead Curator and Project Curator of the Africa Fashion exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The discussion will be led by Producer, Curator and Author, Nadia Denton.

Costume Designer Anna Mary Scott Robbins and Co-costume Designer Maja Meschede joined Fashion & Cinema's Director Joana Granero Sánchez to enlighten us about the work behind the creation of the spectacular costumes featured in the film as well as the importance of historical acuracy in the evolution of the Downton Abbey story.

FASHION & CINEMA presented a series of screenings and talks which explored the rebel's aesthetic world, and their stories from behind-the-scenes. Iconic films and images of rebellious men and women recall Marlon Brando, Steve McQueen and Katharine Hepburn – all of whom have an enduringly fashionable timelessness.

Costume Designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb joined us after the screening of the film for an on-stage conversation about her work creating the costumes for James Bond and all other characters.

Anna Jackson, Curator of the Victoria and Albert Museum's Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk exhibition (29 February – 21 June 2020), where two of the kimono ensembles from the film will be displayed, gave an illustrated introduction to the film, with a behind-the-scenes look at this spectacular new exhibition.
