Costume designer Anna Robbins will join Davina Catt on-stage to share insights into the creative process behind the film’s stunning costumes and to discuss the crucial role historical accuracy plays in shaping the world of Downton Abbey.

ABOUT ANNA ROBBINS
Anna Robbins is a London based, Scottish designer working within the worlds of costume, fashion and textiles. Anna has costume designed numerous award winning productions, building a strong reputation for creative flair and excellence and continues to work across both period and contemporary genres in film and television.
Taking over as costume designer for Downton Abbey in 2013, Anna designed the fifth and sixth series, earning her two Primetime Emmy nominations for her work on both series. Since then Anna has gone on to design features Wild Rose (BIFA 2019 Best Costume Design nominee), The Father, Last Letter From Your Lover and the widely anticipated Downton Abbey feature films which have earned her a Critics Choice Award nomination 2020, CDGA nomination 2020 and a Hollywood Film Award 2020.
Alongside costume Anna works as a design consultant for private clients and fashion designer. In her role as Director of Design and Development for Fortuny fashion, Anna has worked closely with the legendary heritage textiles house for a number of years, leading a small team to rediscover the infamous pleat, alongside developing a fashion for home line and an FTNY accessories line which is due to launch in 2025.
Anna returned in 2024 to design the costumes for the third and final Downton Abbey feature Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.

Davina is a journalist, writer, director.
Davina writes for leading publications including Vogue UK and International editions, Financial Times, as well as being contributing editor at new biannual title, Violet, alongside internationally recognised actors/scriptwriters. Davina is regularly asked to conduct talks and be part of panels at venues from BAFTA, V&A to Conde Nast college, including recently an in conversation event with legendary sixties model, muse and actress, Pattie Boyd.
Davina has taken her experience with writing, narrative and film to write and direct an arts based documentary, which was screened across Curzon cinemas.
She has also appeared in campaigns for designers such as Lara Bohinc MBE, been photographed by globally recognised names from Rankin to Mike Figgis, and her body of work has been featured in titles including Vogue Italia, Tatler, Harpers Bazaar UK, American Elle.
