The screening of the film Something Is About to Happen (Que nadie duerma), by Antonio Méndez-Esparza, is part of the 20th London Spanish Film Festival program and will be followed by a Q&A with Clara Bilbao, who designed the costumes for the film and Fashion & Cinema’s Director Joana Granero.
Costume Designer Jürgen Doering joins Fashion & Cinema's Joana Granero again, this time with director and lead actress Maïwenn, on this special preview of Jeanne du Barry to enlighten us about the work behind the creation of the film's costumes and Chanel's collaboration in the creation of the wardrobe for this refined woman who was ahead of her time.
Coco Chanel Unbuttoned is a documentary exploring the ultimate fashion legend reflecting the story of the 20th century.
The screening of the film will be followed by a Q&A with the film director, Hannah Berryman, hosted by journalist and writer Davina Catt.

Costume Designer Janty Yates will joining us for an on-stage conversation with writer and curator Keith Lodwick about her magnificent career, which includes films like De-Lovely and Enemy at the Gates, as well as regular collaborations with Sir Ridley Scott, among which are Gladiator, House of Gucci and, most recently, Napoleon, for which she's currently nominated to the BAFTA and Costume Designers Guild Best Costume Awards.

Costume Designer Jacqueline Durran and Production Designer Sarah Greenwood have worked together on some of the most successful films of the modern era including the multi-award winning Atonement (2007), Anna Karenina (2012), Beauty and the Beast (2017) and the much acclaimed Barbie (2023). In discussion with Keith Lodwick, Jacqueline and Sarah will explore how they create the visual world of film through costume and production design.
Stephanie Wood, Co-Curator of the Victoria and Albert Museum's Mary Quant exhibition, and Julian Vogel, fashion insider and producer of the documentary Vidal Sassoon: The Movie, will join Fashion & Cinema's Joana Granero in a conversation about Mary Quant and other designers from the Swinging London scene as well as French designers like Courrèges and Paco Rabanne, their significance and their legacy.
The conversation will be followed by the screening of the film Two for the Road, where Audrey Hepburn’s wardrobe included clothing by Mary Quant, Ken Scott and Paco Rabanne.
Luca Guadagnino’s Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams is a documentary about the life, work and legacy of Salvatore Ferragamo.
The screening of the film will be followed by a Q&A with journalist, author and UK Vogue’s European Sustainability Editor Dana Thomas, scriptwriter of the film, and hosted by journalist and writer Davina Catt.
Alexandra Byrne, whose designs for film, television, theatre and even ballet have won her wide international recognition, will be in conversation with writer and curator Keith Lodwick to talk about her rich and intense career.
The Conversation will be followed by a screening of the film Elizabeth, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary.
