Coco Chanel Unbuttoned is a documentary exploring the ultimate fashion legend reflecting the story of the 20th century.

The screening of the film will be followed by a Q&A with the film director, Hannah Berryman, hosted by journalist and writer Davina Catt.

As part of Ciné Lumière's season "Happy Birthday Ms Deneuve" celebrating Catherine Deneuve's 80th birthday, Fashion & Cinema's Joana Granero will be introducing Jean-Paul Rappenau's A Matter of Resistance and talking about Deneuve's film star status, the role of fashion in it, her association with French femininity and her long-lasting relationship with Yves Saint Laurent in and outside film.

We are honoured to welcome Sir Paul Smith back to Ciné Lumière to talk about his career in fashion design and beyond.

How does Paul Smith work? Where does he draw inspiration from? He'll be talking to us about this and more!

On the 30th anniversary of The Remains of the Day, Costume Designer Jenny Beavan and John Bright, founder of Cosprop, will join us in a Q&A with Keith Lodwick to talk about the making of the film, creating its costumes and partnering on so many of the iconic Merchant Ivory productions.

Costume Designer Jacqueline Durran and Production Designer Sarah Greenwood have worked together on some of the most successful films of the modern era including the multi-award winning Atonement (2007), Anna Karenina (2012), Beauty and the Beast (2017) and the much acclaimed Barbie (2023). In discussion with Keith Lodwick, Jacqueline and Sarah will explore how they create the visual world of film through costume and production design.

Stephanie Wood, Co-Curator of the Victoria and Albert Museum's Mary Quant exhibition, and Julian Vogel, fashion insider and producer of the documentary Vidal Sassoon: The Movie, will join Fashion & Cinema's Joana Granero in a conversation about Mary Quant and other designers from the Swinging London scene as well as French designers like Courrèges and Paco Rabanne, their significance and their legacy.

The conversation will be followed by the screening of the film Two for the Road, where Audrey Hepburn’s wardrobe included clothing by Mary Quant, Ken Scott and Paco Rabanne.

Luca Guadagnino’s Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams is a documentary about the life, work and legacy of Salvatore Ferragamo.

The screening of the film will be followed by a Q&A with journalist, author and UK Vogue’s European Sustainability Editor Dana Thomas, scriptwriter of the film, and hosted by journalist and writer Davina Catt.

Costume Designer Bina Daigeler and Make-Up Artist Morag Ross will discuss their work for the highly anticipated TÁR, which has already won Cate Blanchett the Best Leading Performance award from Los Angeles Film Critics Association and Todd Field the Best Director, in addition to several nominations.
